This month, I am counting five weeks towards my monthly food budget. This week is the last week of the month to me.
I was excited that Aldi had butter for $2/lb. There was a limit of four, so that’s what I got. I freeze what I won’t need in the next couple of months. Milk is usually under $2/gallon, but they were getting rid of gallons of skim milk for $0.99/gallon. We usually do 2%, but we don’t mind skim. They expire 3/31/16, but we will use ours up by Friday, so it should be fine. I have 2 dozen eggs already, but they had a dozen for $0.69, so I grabbed that too.
Just a few odds and ends that I didn’t want to get at Aldi. Bunny marshmallows for $1 was an impulse buy.
Running Total: $482.47- just under my $500 target.
