Feeding 5 For $100 Per Week: 1st Week of July 2016

Aldi: $47.82

It’s another full work week, since I will work on blog things on Monday, a holiday, and picked up three shifts this week. I am making slow cooker beef and cabbage with that meat to cover us for two of those workdays. The kids each get a yogurt (can;t send nuts to the sitter’s house, applesauce cup, fruit, small raisin pack, crackers, and fruit snacks for lunches and snacks, as I can toss those in lickety split in the morning.

Sorry for the blurry photo! The cookie and cherry pie are for Grandma’s birthday party. English muffins were $0.69 on clearance so the kids will make pizza with them this week.

  • Love this! I have been doing a similar weekly grocery budget for about a year now but have to confess that it was more of a blurry target than a concrete number. Now that I am off for the summer, I have made it a goal to truly limit my spending by taking cash only. Thank you for the motivation to keep on!

    • Glad you like it! After many years of doing this, I can say using cash is what keeps me to my budget. Every time I’ve used credit again, my grocery totals mysteriously expand.
