Kroger Trip #1: My husband stopped at Kroger to get soy milk and quite a few boxes of Clif Builder Bars. He spent $48. Eep! That meant I had about $50 left for the week.
Kroger Trip #2: $34.02. I stuck to my list with one exception: there were a million boxes of polenta on the clearance rack for 50% off, or $1.49 each box. I have been wanting but avoiding buying polenta for months, so I decided to snatch up 4 boxes.
Aldi trip: I also stuck to the list with one exception; I bought “square bread”. Since I worked the past few days, and was chained to my desk, and we left early today for a trip to the zoo, I didn’t have time for bread-making. I bought bread so I could make sandwiches and avoid buying food at the zoo.
Weekly total: $109.14. Not too bad considering I had half my already small budget to work with!
